12 oz Pure Michigan Maple Syrup - Vanilla Infused

$15.00

Pure maple syrup from our trees here at Wild Faith Acres. This maple syrup is infused with a fresh vanilla bean. We place the bean in each of these bottles and it makes the most incredible vanilla infused maple syrup.

Our syrup is made on our farm in micro batches in an open fire style. We do everything manual labor currently, so it’s a really special (laborious) process! We hope that you love it as much as we do.

Maple syrup has been a part of American culture for a very long time. Native Americans were the first known people group to produce sugar using sap from the maple trees. Our written history goes back to 1609 but it’s believed they were making it long before then. The earliest pioneers learned from the Native Americans and eventually we made improvements to the process. The improvements, along with better options for storage, made syrup a possibility rather than just maple sugar.

The pioneers boiled down their syrup over open flames until it was evaporated enough into that syrup consistency we know and love. The process of boiling over the open flame also gives the syrup a natural smoky depth that wouldn’t exist without the open flame. This is a very traditional way of producing the yummy liquid gold we call maple syrup. You cannot get this depth of flavor in modern production methods, and that’s okay. They’re different methods and they’re both an incredible way to utilize this mineral rich resource.

Maple syrup comes from the sap which is a water and sugar mixture. The sap is mineral rich and feeds the tree in early spring and throughout the active budding and blooming season. When we cook out the excess water we are left with a concentration of minerals and sugar making maple syrup a healthy source of sugar. Each spoonful contains riboflavin, zinc, magnesium, calcium, and potassium. It’s also known to contain polyphenols, or antioxidants, that can help with reducing inflammation.

So enjoy your coffee, pancakes, waffles, and baked goods with a bottle of our handcrafted maple syrup. We love sharing it with you!
